1. Obtaining 2-methylbenzoic anhydride
2. Add tert-butyldimethylsilanol (tert-butyldimethylsilanol) as esterification reagent
3. The esterification reaction is carried out under mild reaction conditions. The Common catalyst is an organic acid such as toluene sulfonic acid (p-toluenesulfonic acid) or O-benzene sulfonic acid (o-benzenesulfonic acid).
4. The product was filtered and purified to obtain methyl 3-((tert-butyldimethylsilyl) oxy)-2-methylbenzoate.
